[ID: A tweet by Popbase that reads, "Nearly half of Gen Z is using TikTok and Instagram as a search engine instead of Google, new data shows.". Below the tweet is a pic of a poorly drawn Goomba from Super Mario Bros with text below him that reads "are you out of your fucking mind".]

I love how Gen Z is just slowly turning into boomers due to reverse tech illiteracy

j33zits

There is a massive tech illiteracy problem among young people that is 100% caused by everyone using walled garden mobile devices instead of actual computers

Holy fuck of course the jjba people could do it, the death note functions almost like a Stand. There are bullshit rules, there is a dude who actually does the powers for you

Mulder: clearly this is the work of a vengeful god of death

Scully: look, that’s nonsense, this detective’s son fits all the classic signifiers of a serial killer-

cryptotheism

Harrier DuBois: "Kim, are shinigami real?'

Kim Kitsuragi: "No, detective. I do not think so."

Harrier DuBois: "So about my new eyes-"

Okay, I object to the thought that Harrier DuBois could intuit the mechanics of the death note.

He WOULD solve the case though.

Harrier's Primary skill as a detective isn't deductive reasoning, it's his ability to say batshit things at people until their brains shut down and the truth slips out.

Light would present Harry with a perfect Alibi, a story that makes the very idea that he is Kira sound COMPLETELY ABSURD, and it would be completely ineffective because Harry doesn't want to ask him about Kira. Harry wants to ask Light if he can have some money, and also about his favorite brand of potato chips. This inevitably leads to Light going on a fascist rant about purging the scum of society, during which time Harry has started looking through Light's trash for glass bottles and found the mini-TV stuffed in the potato chip bag.

I object to your objection because I think like Inland Empire would just say like a yo my guy he's got a magic book that kills people, but way more cryptic kind of like how if you talk to the hanged man it says Communism killed me, but love did me in. Or he'll get a call on shivers from the city I'm telling him that there's something paranatural going on. If Harry on the Kira case was a game there is definitely a path where he completely understands the rules of the death note and one where he doesn't even come close to suspecting it's a thing

I'll admit I'm a hairy psychic but doesn't realize it truther.

iamthedukeofurl

Inland Empire would say something Cryptic about how the victims lives were unnaturally snuffed out, Shivers would tell Harry about a shining young man stopping hearts with a pen.

Harry could figure out that Light is some sort of Murder Wizard. But I don't think he'd figure out the actual mechanics of the Death Note. It's by pure coincidence that he introduces himself as Raphael Ambrosious Cousteau, Dick Mullen, and Mega-Detective Supercop Tequila Sunset, thus thwarting Light's attempts to figure out his real name.
(Ironically, there would be nothing remotely suspicious about Harry dying from a heart attack).

a few days ago an irl told me about how the alphabet is on the wrong order on the doctor who wiki because in one episode a character recites the alphabet backwards but gets two letters the wrong way around and there has been no other representation of the full alphabet in any other dw media so technically there’s no proof that it isn’t canon and i’ve been thinking about that ever since

not joking (U is supposed to come before V)

caydencrypted

actually it gets funnier. there are multiple instances of parts of the alphabet being spoken in episodes. the problem is absolutely none of these have spoken that specific section since the episode that got the order wrong.
